Renee Eaves - Client Care Co-Ordinator/ Business Development
At Kilmartin Legal we know the litigation process can be gruelling for clients, particularly when parties are gridlocked in a “win at any cost dynamic” frustrations can be heightened.
To take a more holistic approach to the services we provide, we believe having a client advocate onboard to work closely with our clients means they are not only being heard, but their challenges acknowledged in a timelier manner.
Our own research conducted found one of the key frustrations many people face when dealing with law firms is the delay in being able to speak to someone about their matter, often due to lawyers being in court or carrying out urgent work on multiple large files.
Renee is highly experienced in her understanding of the unique pressure legal matters bring, and is incredibly persistent in making sure we are across any new information that is relevant to your matter.
The experience Renee brings to Kilmartin Legal is incredibly unique. Renee was the first woman to self-represent and take successful legal action for deprivation of liberty, thus setting case law over 10 + years ago. That is no doubt why she understands firsthand the communication between a firm and the client being so important, and the added trauma a client can experience if the lines of communication breakdown.
As a result of her personal experience, Renee went on to study counselling, specifically with the intention of adequately supporting people through the litigation process. The combination of her personal experience and subsequent study resulted in her having the innate ability to not only understand, but to navigate complicated predicaments for others.
Renee has appeared on numerous news and tv shows giving insight to countless social justice topics and matters where she has believed lending her voice would make a positive change, then publishing a book to give hope to others who may find themselves in lengthy litigation. Many clients say it is apparent Renee is one of those rare people who do and mean what they say, and appreciate her straight talk coupled with her high level of integrity, empathy and ability to support them throughout their matter minimising the stress experienced along the way.
